WILD KONG T800

We’re all familiar with Kong, Richard Orlinski‘s world-famous sculpture of a sublimated gorilla, whose edges
the edges magnify the musculature.

This time, the artist has taken his inspiration from James Cameron’s 1984 film Terminator. And it’s Wild Kong T800 that the sculptor
chose to embody the main character: a body-built robot with a punctured eye, who hides behind his beauty
he’s a killing machine with unlimited intelligence.

This high-precision artwork is reminiscent of the sculptor’s knowledge of Haute
watchmaking.

To amplify the contrast between the appearance of a gorilla and the reality of a machine, Richard Orlinski
chose to combine two exceptional materials for the body and for the inserts of the jewel-like mechanical parts.
like jewels: bronze and aluminum. The combination of these two materials is a technical feat.
